FOREST RIVER ACQUIRES FORMER SKYLINE RV FACILITY IN HEMET, CALIFORNIA
From RVbusiness.com:
Forest River Inc. has acquired the former Skyline RV facility in Hemet, Calif., according to a report by the Banning-Beaumont Patch.
Forest River expects to begin producing recreational vehicle trailers in early 2015 at the new Hemet manufacturing plant. The facility, located on 18 acres, will serve as Forest River’s 67th national assembly plant and is expected to employ 200-300 people at full production.
General Manager Ty Miller, who will be managing the new Hemet facility, noted, “Forest River is looking forward to expanding our operations and returning manufacturing jobs to Hemet. The large Hemet facility will allow us to grow as we expand our business over the years. We look forward to working with the city and the community to bring new jobs to Hemet and to be active members of the community.”
Forest River is currently beginning tenant improvements at the Hemet plant and will gear up for manufacturing and production operations over the coming months. Forest River will initially start up with employees from their other nearby southern California location and 150 new hires.
