DUNCAN SYSTEMS BOUGHT BY PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM

HKW Capital Partners II, and members of management acquired Duncan Systems Inc., headquartered in Elkhart, Ind., on Nov. 1 from its current owners. According to a press release, Duncan is the leading aftermarket distributor of replacement windshields and side glass to the recreational vehicle and over the road truck markets and also acts as a liaison on insurance claims for damaged RV motorhome windshields
The company was founded in 1992 and Ron Dole and Ron Duncan, a 40-year veteran of the RV industry.
“Duncan is regarded as the expert in the RV glass replacement business,” said James O. Futterknecht, Jr., Partner, HKW and Chairman of Duncan.
Terry Lindberg (CEO) and Shane Duncan (President and COO) will be leading the company. Co-founder Duncan will remain an active participant as a board member.
HKW is a private equity firm founded in 1903 with offices in New York, Chicago and Indianapolis.
