HAULMARK RECALL FROM A CONSUMER
Although the spring hanger brackets are the recall, after inspection of our 2005 Haulmark
motor coach we have found that the frame has been torched instead of drilled. Holes were
torched next to drilled holes breaking through into each other leaving a long oblong hole covered up by huge washers. Freightliner sold the trucks to Haulmark to build on and haulmark subcontracted the suspension to people who should be shot for what they have done. Would you build a home knowing you had a cracked foundation ?
These motorcoach frames are junk, at least mine is. Can you imagine they contemplated replacing the rails, now how and where do you suppose all that would happen.
That is no easy job and why would I want that back after that. Our safety is in jeopardy and we haven't been able to use it . I paid for a new motorhome not a
rehabbed one. The welds holding on the airbag brackets look like a 5 year old did it.
The airbags have deflated on us 4 times and my husband had to crawl under on major
interstate highways to correct this.
I was wondering Mike , in the boating industry they have certain standards they have to adhere to , what about the motorhome industry, do they have standards and where might I find these. It seems this is a severe safety issue and like we're finding in our everyday lives,
no one can do their job right anymore.
What a shame for someone to get stuck with a crap motorhome to the tune of 180K.
Also, we could never sell this to anyone and feel good about it .Those spring hanger
brackets are the least of Haulmark's problems and shame on them.
