Monaco Coach Corp. announced today (Oct. 3) that it will be turning over control of its Beaver Coach service and warranty facility in Bend, Ore., to the local dealership, effective Jan. 1, 2006. According to a press release, Beaver Coach Sales of Oregon Inc. will oversee operations, which include 12 full service bays. Currently, the nearly 20-year-old facility has 40 employees, including 12 RVIA master technicians and 7 RVIA certified technicians. Coburg, Ore.-based Monaco said the service center employees have all been given the opportunity to relocate to the Harrisburg, Ore., service center or to stay with the new business. "This is a great opportunity for our dealership, the Beaver owners for whom we provide service and the employees that share a desire to remain in Bend, Oregon," said Chris Jackson, general manager of Beaver Coach Sales of Oregon. Monaco will continue operations at its two additional facilities in central and eastern Oregon. Electronic Design and Assembly in Bend, and Composite Technologies Inc. in Burns, both sub-assembly plants, employ 100 and 150 respectively.
